Rates:
I base my rates on the yearly editorial rates posted by the Editorial Freelance Association, my experience, and how long it could potentially take me to complete an edit.
My specialties are poetry, memoir, and fiction (many genres!). I prefer not to edit horror/gore. If you have that type of content, reach out and I can recommend you to someone else!

Copy/Line Editing

Once you feel comfortable with the content you have created (for longer works, you likely will have had a developmental edit!), the next step is copy editing. I will check your work for grammatical errors, clarity, and fact-check things like dates and places.

I will also help you rework your sentences so everything is clear and flows nicely for the reader.

If you know what style a publisher you are interested in might use, I can make edits for that style (Chicago is the most popular style for general publishing).

This is one of your last polishing steps! I will check your work for any remaining grammatical errors, clarity issues, and make sure copy edits were implemented correctly.
